Actraiser Professional Mode
First you need to complete the game. After this when you are at the title screen press Up or Down followed by down. You can now play in professional mode.
Special Mode
Complete the game, then at the Title screen, press Down.
Extra Lives
You can get extra lives in various ways, these are just some.
Create a rainstorm over the lake which is found east of Bloodpool.
Use Lightning Strike on the Northwood temple.
Find the pyramid which causes an earthquake in Kasandora.
